 The Saints Alive Company

In 2008 the Company went 'on the road' and performed in three local churches. Trinity Church, Stafford in April and St Lawrence Church, Gnosall and St Mary's Church Market Drayton in May.

They performed a selection of Roger Jones's songs from their previous musicals and songs from the shows.

The 2008 cast during 'cold' rehearsals in the church.

The 2007 production took place on Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th June at the Holy Trinity Church and was another Roger Jones musical called 'Snakes & Ladders'.

For the past three years a group of individuals many of them with links to the Eccleshall churches gathered together to perform Roger Jones musicals in the Holy Trinity Church.

Around fifty people have been involved in the Saints during that time, not all of them all of the time, sometimes individuals take a break for twelve months but thankfully usually come back for the next production.

The first production was performed for the 2004 Eccleshall Festival in June, the second one in 2005 and the third in June 2006 for the Festival again.

The first production was called Saints Alive and the group took its name from that.

Musical Director is Rodney Bellamy drama coach is Anita Guest and general dogsbody is Hazel Bradshaw who keeps them in line and does just about everything else; She arranges rehearsals, gets costumes made and creates the programme for the performances amongst loads of other things.

'New blood' is always needed if you would like to take part on stage or behind the scenes please contact Hazel on 01785 851259
