Eccleshall Castle

As visitors can see from the photograph the castle is more of a stately home, although a castle did stand on the site for many years.

Local people are often bemused as to why anyone should want to visit the grounds of a 'large country home' but on the rare occasions when the grounds are opened to the public they flock in to see the wonderful woodland gardens and remains of the castle.
