Welcome to BeatRoot Music

BeatRoot Music was formed in December 2002 by Pete Evans, the co-founder of Hooker Blues Club in Wrexham, North Wales and organiser of Dragon Blues, the Welsh Blues Festival.

Having been immersed in "The Blues" for many years, the progression to forming a record company came about after Pete became involved in the young blues/rock band Trafficker and their gifted guitarist and leader Tommy Allen.

Tommy was looking for a label on which to record his second CD, "Nature's Most Wanted" and so instead of releasing it insigned, Tommy agreed to link up with BeatRoot.

Following the success of Trafficker’s CD, a cd “Devil’s Tricks” was produced for veteran Scottish blues/rockers Blues’n’Trouble and this was followed by Tim Elliott and The Troublemakers’ cd “Struttin’ That Stuff”.

In 2005 Trafficker produced their 3rd cd “Fade To Black”, this release receiving excellent reviews.(see sales)

Beatroot have also been involved in arranging tours for UK and American acts and act as agents to a number of USA based blues performers and every year Pete Evans visits the USA to check on potential new acts whilst often reviewing the major American blues festivals for British blues publications.

Beatroot also manage the band Trafficker and its guitarist Tommy Allen
