Our Sh Ch Flinthill Wild Thyme JW started the year by being listed as the 2009 Top Brood Bitch for puppies with BPIB after a successful first five months in the show ring for her progeny, our own Daisy and Monty and Barbara Wilkinson's Flinthill Forget Me Not.

And congratulations to the puppies' father, Crookrise Floyd, for winning the Top Sire contest for 2009.

We had a wonderful night with Thyme at the Pointer Club 50th Anniversary Contest of Champions where she was one of 29 champions representing the breed. Now she is concentrating on achieving her Show Working Gundog Certificate.

We were thrilled when Daisy won Reserve Best in Show at Yorkshire Gundog Club Open Show, aged only 12 months, from an entry of nearly 300 gundogs.

Big congratulations to Barbara and Tia (Flinthill Forget Me Not) for winninig BPIB at Crufts following in the pawprints of Tia’s mother Thyme who was BPIB at Crufts 2007.

Monty and Daisy also caught the eye of judge Aidine Howes and both won VHCs in their classes.

Thyme was back in the big show ring in May for the first time since last summer and won RCC from judge Norma Ellis at Birmingham National CS.

Barbara and Tia achieved their Junior Warrant in June which means Tia is the sixth Flinthill-bred dog to go in the Kennel Club Stud Book.

In September, Tia won the Bitch CC and Best of Breed from an entry of nearly 150 pointers at Birmingham City Championship Show under judge Rui Oliveira. She then went on to be shortlisted in the Gundog Group. It was a good day for Flinthill because Daisy won her large class and Monty was second in his.
