How To Find Us
Thorne Cottage is situated in a rural hamlet three miles North West of Yeovil, the largest town in South Somerset and a centre for local and regional services. Yeovil is served by two railway stations, Yeovil Junction (on the main line between Exeter and London) and Pen Mill (on the line between Bristol and the South Coast). There are regular services to London Waterloo, Bristol and Exeter. Bristol Airport is around an hours' drive away. For visitors travelling by car, we have provided a map and directions below.
From the North
Leave the M5(S) at Junction 25 and take the A358 towards Yeovil. Join up with the A303(E) at Ilminster and the A3088 at Montacute. Turn left at the first roundabout and proceed straight across the next two roundabouts. Turn left at the T-junction and take the next right shortly afterwards. Follow the road through the village until you reach Thorne Cottage. The driveway is the last turning on the right before the road barrier.
From the South
Join the A37 at Dorchester and head North towards Yeovil and Sherborne. Stay on the A37 until you reach the outskirts of Yeovil. Turn left at the Hendford Hill roundabout and take the second exit off the next roundabout. Turn left at the bottom of the hill and proceed straight over the next three roundabouts. Turn left at the T-junction and take the next right shortly afterwards. Follow the road through the village until you reach Thorne Cottage. The driveway is the last turning on the right before the road barrier.
From the East
Leave the A303(W) at the exit marked Ilchester, Yeovil and turn right at the first roundabout. Follow this road to the next roundabout and turn right. Proceed straight over the double roundabout and continue for approx. 2 miles. Take the right hand turn shortly after the T-junction on the left, and follow the road through the village until you reach Thorne Cottage. The driveway is the last turning on the right before the road barrier.
From the West
Leave the A303(E) at the exit marked A3088 (Yeovil). Turn left at the first roundabout and proceed straight across the next two roundabouts. Turn left at the T-junction and take the next right shortly afterwards. Follow the road through the village until you reach Thorne Cottage. The driveway is the last turning on the right before the road barrier.
