Although this is a pretty straight forward model to make I decided to jazz it up a little bit.  The pictures really say it all.  


This is where the doves will raise their little babies.

Making the roof separate.  Not how the plans say but I found it easier.

All the bits stuck together. 
Check out the roof line.

I wanted to add an oriental touch

and a weather vane for the top
 

Well, here she is.
The roof and Chicken George set aloft are in black.
The sides are in magnolia. It is slightly lighter than the picture suggests and certainly a lot softer in appearance than black and white would have been.
It is destined to be erected in my eldest son's garden.  Maybe he will change the colours to black and white, maybe not.
