Now then,
don't get me wrong, I am no wood working expert, in fact quite the contrary. I
can not cut a straight line to save my life. My greatest wood working
achievement was way back in the 60's at the Bishops Stortford Boys High School
when I made a pencil box.
I am just somebody who has found the great therapeutic value of doing a spot of
wood work. My name is Trevor Russell. I spent over 30 years in the motor
trade before being put out to pasture. 20 of those years for the same
chap. I now work in the food industry. From boardroom to back room in less
than the time it took to read this sentence.
For the first time in my life I have found myself with oodles of free time.
There are only so many hours that you can waste on computer games. Anyway,
one day while surfing the web I came across a hobbies plan's website.
Moving on slightly, I have always had this fascination for Windmills. My
dream would be to live in a windmill or a lighthouse. Crazy eh! I do
not know how practical that would be and lets face it, short of winning the
lottery I doubt that I will ever find out.
Anyway, I came across some plans for a windmill. 'Well now, this could be the closest I get to having a windmill of my own' I
thought. So I sent off for plans for the windmill and also the plans for
another model which caught my eye, St Tiggywinkles Church.
My work area comprises of a single garage for my workshop.
