Power tools certainly can make life easier.  It cost me about £300 to kit out my little workshop.
Here are my main power tools along with a few of my personal comments.

The easy way to drill holes that are at the correct angle.
Powerful 250 watt (1/3hp) motor
230V~50Hz
Max. drilling capacity: 13mm
Max. spindle stroke: 50mm
Swing (throat depth): 103mm
Speeds: 5
Speed range: 525-2660
Assembly was a piece of cake. Unfortunately the motor is not powerful enough to turn the chuck at the highest speed yet alone drill a hole. (Yes, I have correctly adjusted the belt) Despite the promo blurp it is what it is, a cheap bench drill.  Fortunately I do not need to go above the middle speed so for £35  it does what I want it to.

Powerful 1500 watt motor
230V~50Hz
250mm (10") TCT blade
Table tilt: 0-45°
Table size (aluminium): 700 x 430mm
Max. depth of cut at 90°: 75mm
Max. depth of cut at 45°: 55mm
Speed: 4500rpm

Now this is a real handy piece of kit.  It cuts wood up to about 2" thick and for 90 to 45 degree's.
A good powerful motor, more than adequate for most any job.
The table is strong and well engineered and it also has the benefit of doubling up as a router table by screwing a router underneath.
£90 well spent.
The only nigle that I have with it is that there is a gap below the guide which allows thin pieces of wood to slip underneath it.  I have overcome this by gluing a piece of wood to it that comes down to the table.

Warning,   Despite trawling around numerous trade & retail DIY shops I am unable to locate replacement sanding belts for this tool.  It appears to be an odd ball size. I have also emailed Nutool, the manufacturers, twice and had one reply asking for the model number. I have sent them the model number but they have not bothered to reply.  You can form your own opinions to their after sales service and whether or not you want to buy their tools.
Ideal for sharpening knifes, scissors and tools. The sander is ideal for wood, metal and plastics
Powerful 210 watt motor
230V~50Hz
2950rpm
Grinding wheel size: 150 x 12.7mm
Sanding belt size: 50 x 692mm
Another great piece of kit this.  The guard on the grind wheel was about as much use as udders on a bullock.  It last 2 hours before I caught it with a piece of dowling and it snapped off. So, safety goggles a must.
But it really is a godsend.
My very first power tool.
The blades are a bit of a drag to change but who cares?  Nobody said that life would be easy did they?

To cope with all the dust that I am now making what better tool than this?
Powerful and very inexpensive.  £39 from Argos.
I had to make up a couple of reducers so that it would plug straight onto the power tools.

That's my tools sorted.  Lets hope that as my experience grows I may be able to do justice to them.
