I have found a James Wilson married

an Amanda MOONEY in 1883, in

Barton on Irwell, near Eccles and

Patricroft.

As The first three children were born in PATRICROFT I am hoping to have found the correct marriage.

Then of course a new branch to

research!

I have found the family grave in Gorton Cemetery through the War Graves Commission website when looking for Robert Wilson, which gave the additional information: Son of James and Amanda Thersa Wilson, of 149 Town Lane Denton. I already had this address and phoning the cemetery confirmed the family was mine! With Jane Wilson and Thomas Leonard's marriage certificate confirming her address as 168 Napier St. I knew everything was fitting together. Now I am waiting for James and Amanda's Marriage Cert. Which will give me more leads I hope.

There are five members of the family in the grave:

1. Private Robert Lawrence Wilson, d. 28 Nov. 1915 age 21

2. Thomas Wilson, d. 16 Dec. 1916 age 30

3. Thomas Martin Leonard, d. 19 Dec. 1925 age 45

4. Amanda Thersa(?) Wilson, d. 29 Nov. 1928 age 77
