Tape recorders have special significance for disabled people, be they visually or physically impaired. For instance, in sound, blindness has little consequence, but of course reading in the conventional sense is not possible. So each issue of The Chatterer's World is read onto to enable everyone to keep up to date with club affairs.
The Chatterbox Recording Club has a library, a Sound Library, in which all our sound magazines are kept. Copies of these tapes are available in return for a small fee as are copies of any other tapes, given to the library by club members who have compiled their own programmes, documentaries and soon. A list of the library contents is supplied to each member on joining as part of the directory.
A

Three issues of the Sound Magazine per year
A network of area reps available for advice and assistance

We have an agent in the USA and one in Canada, dealing with members direct so that payments can be made in the appropriate currency, thus eliminating any exchange problems and additional expense.
Finally, membership is open to anyone with a tape recorder, open reel or cassette, beginner or old hand. Age or status is immaterial. With years of experience we know that by becoming involved in taping - - however basic or spectacular your expertise maybe, the rewards are always worth the effort. Satisfaction and enjoyment for everyone, via tape that's what The Chatterbox Recording Club is all about.
