The club is arranging a training camp in Malta for the top two
squads next Easter, provisionally returning the day before our Easter Open, and
the swimmers likely to be going have been challenged to raise funds towards it.
It will be SERIOUSLY hard work when they get there.
One of the first of these fundraisers is the R.S.C. World Cup sweepstake.
Half the entry fees raised will go
to the camp fund and half will come back in prizes. These will be for the teams
finishing in the first three places (respectively 16, 8 and 4 pounds) and for
the team suffering the biggest individual defeat (also 4 pounds). In the event
of two or more teams suffering equally bad beatings, the prize will go to the
one with the worst goal difference in the group stages.
