The property is detached and there are only a few other dwellings in the valley, it is about five minutes walk up from the village of Llanita Perera - with its one general store (sells everything from fresh and frozen food to nails and farm equipment), two or three small bar/restaurants, village houses ... and not much else.
My wife and I live in a Finca within walking distance and will be available for information, advice, or assistance should any be needed. Not many locals speak any English although the proprietor of the general store and his daughter speak a little.
We searched for years to find our own home here and we feel this area is probably one of the best left on the Island. This old Finca makes a great base from which to explore and in particular the many recognised walking paths in the North and West of the island, for which we can provide maps.
This is not the usual tourist accommodation. Rather for people who intend walking and driving around, who like peace, tranquility, and for those interested in experiencing rural Tenerife, even though the beach and town are a short drive away.
Remember that it can be cool at night here in Winter so sweaters and a raincoat/jacket are advisable. Having said that, daytime temperatures in January and February, the coldest months, can reach 20 - 22oC on sunny days and rarely drop below 15oC. July and August are normally cloudless and the Finca is a welcome cool retreat after the heat of the beach or a mountain walk - temperatures rarely exceeding 30oC at this elevation(500m).
I hope as you look around this website that it gives you a full and accurate picture of the finca and its surroundings. Please do not hesitate to enquire further if you still have any questions.
Best Regards,
Phil Hirst.
