 Directional
Strongly directional, yet soft side light has shown the flowing
robes of this Djerban woman's traditional dress to best advantage
- even if it does show she didn't iron it that morning. The side
light has also lit the child's face. The lady was an unwilling
model and turned her face away from the camera when she spotted
it pointing in her direction. A shame because she had fine features.
Still, the back view proved interesting, too.
The interiors of some buildings
and markets can often provide the most startling side light -
but you must be prepared to work with wide apertures and slow
shutter speeds.
