  • photograph light wheelwright tnLight, pose and positioning
No flash, no reflectors, just a tripod for the camera, and the most beautiful natural available light from those big windows.

Every detail in ths picture was carefully considered: the positioning of the wheel and the subject to catch the best of the light; the tools on the workbench, even the scattering of wood chippings and sawdust to bring added texture to the light on the floor. The pose is kept deliberately simple in order to focus attention around the small area of the subject's eye and the hammer and chisel. Only after taking in this area of the picture does the viewer's eye wander around the frame to take in further details.
