Big Mal is a serving police officer from Scarborough N Yorkshire and yes he really is as nice as he appears on TV!

Performed well to qualify for the finals in Britain’s Strongest Man 2000 at Alton Towers.

Obviously due to work commitments Mal can’t train as often as he would like but when he can’t train, he eats! Good scheme!

Mal and the Power Team (Mal Kaye, Andy, 1 other, Steve McNeill and Neil Bradley) beat my team (The Peacock, Andy Mavin, Phil Wright, Christos Piekos, Lee Williams and Gary Meale) ) by 1 point to win the Peacock Team Strongman Challenge 1999.

Good all round gutsy competitor.
