Bill is one of the real nice guys of the Strongman scene, always smiling and friendly. I was lucky enough to watch him win the Peacock Gyms 1999 UK Docklands Strongman Challenge. Bills overall class won him the day against a very strong field

3rd Glenn Ross (weak farmers walk & hand over hand pull cost him title)

4th Frazer Tranter (bad break when his truck push had the brake on! then immediately went again, poor result)

5th Lee Bowers (good all round performance, appeared to be saving himself for Britain’s next week)
