Deck: 2.5 oz C.S mat plus foredeck rescue patch of extra 1.5 oz mat.

Hull: 2.5 oz C.S mat plus 8 oz cloth. 2 inch keel strip. Double thickness reinforced bow and stern.

Inside seam: 2 inch diolen plus 3 inch glass cloth.

Outside seam: 1 inch glass cloth.

The Explorer H.V has been designed to facilitate more leg room for the kayaker, by increasing the volume in the cockpit area and modifying the deck mold in the area of the thigh grips (see image below). We have managed to provide an extra 1.5" of extra height between the top of the seat and the underside of the deck. The hull has not been altered. A new seat has been designed for all 2001 kayaks but we are installing the new seat as standard in the Explorer HV.
