| Lee Jarman - Reading, England It ended a hectic spell of movement for the 03 British Champion following two seasons of relative stability. Lee was with Vilnius Vultures in the WWLS in 01 and for half of 02 until Division 1 Broom Bears took a chance on his 10.00 assessed average paying £90,000 for his services. He helped them gain promotion to SL and actually upped his average to 10.06. A solid season in SL saw his figure go down to 8.88 but with Broom's closure he was placed on the auction list. Swanage stunned the Superleague world by paying a world record £517,766 for him but sold him after only 6 matches for the club. He joined Waltham and made his debut and farewell appearance on the same night...against Houston! Despite all the chopping and changing of tracks early on he managed to up his figure a fraction and establish himself as one of Pirates top two. Lee is an established world star with 4th place and 6th place finishes in the 03 and 02 World Final to his name and a 12th place in the 05 event. He took the British title in 03, third in 04 and was runner up in 05. He claimed the British title for a second time in 06. He can also lay claim to the Inter-Continental Championship in both 02 and 03 and runner up spot in 05. All of the above plus second place in 04's Overseas Final augment his SLRC crown of 03. He can also count Riders Rider of the Year and Supporters Club Rider of the Year in 04 and 07 amongst his honours. Partnered Andrzej Karasinski in the 07 pairs which saw a 3 man run off to decide the title. Jarman represented Pirates and passed Huntingdon's Marcus Gustafsson to secure the crown. Was appointed club captain at the start of the 08 season. He was named England captain early in the 05 season. With a World Cup winners medal from 04 under his belt he guided his country to the final for a second consecutive season but had to content himself with a silver in 05. Was Pirates nomination for the 08 GP campaign where he finished joint 8th but asked not to be put forward in 09 to concentrate on domestic matters. |

Was World Under 21 runner up in 02 and has occupied all the steps on the podium in the American championships, winning it once in 03. |

Tim
Sanderson - Nantwich, England He's a huge talent who needs a bit of time to settle in SL but Pirates management have high hopes for the future for him. Immediately disproved that he needed time by averaging 8.15 in his first 5 matches in SL and looks to have a long term future in the sport as a top class rider. Won the Most improved rider and riders rider of the year awards in his debut season for the club. |

Danny Granqvist -
Malmo, Sweden Has form in the WWLS with an 8.00 average from his time there with Gothenburg and has World Under 21 semi final appearances and Swedish Final appearances to his name without ever having reached the podium. Has been a leading light in the Swedish domestic leagues for the last 3 seasons. |

Adam Kenton -
Nottingham, England Was a long term Walsall asset but made his breakthrough in 05 when he had loan spells at Bradford and Atherstone in Division 3. Maintained that in Division 1 when moving to Essex in 07 but found himsef at Waltham after the re-organisation. Only rode early in the season and had requested a move when Pirates came in for him. |

Ally
Borland -
Glasgow, Scotland Struggled in the main team and was to concentrate on YDL in 04, which saw him take the Supporters Club Most Improved Rider of the Year award, before an extended run in the side saw him lift his GSA. Still seen as one for the future and went some way to proving this by beating the likes of Lorini and Jonsson to make the 05 World Under 21 semi final. Capped a fine 05 YDL season by finishing 4th in the YDLRC after losing out on a podium place in a run off. Started 06 as a reserve for the Pirates and upped his average to 3.78 but was loaned out to Essex after 6 matches in a move that the management and rider had decided pre-season would be in his best interests and over 2 points on his average seems to signal a leap forward for him. This sort of form saw him collect the Supporters Club Most Improved Rider award for a second time. Had an excellent 07 season and was, thankfully, kept in the squad when HQ reallocated riders for the beginning of the 08 campaign. However, found the season tough going and dropped back to 3.39 figure. |

| Robert
Wesson - Maryport, England Averaged 6.59 in his first season and upped that by almost a point to 7.55 in 07/08. Has received lots of coaching by Pirates as they see him as having a long and prosperous future in the sport. He's a huge talent who needs a bit of time to settle in SL but Pirates management have high hopes for the future for him. |

| Mariusz
Misz - Warsaw, Poland He was reallocated to Crewe but Pirates made an enquiry to bring him back and a swap deal was agreed which saw Darren Edwards head south. Mariusz never made an appearance for Crewe either! Never really established himself as a first team regular and was exchanged for Leigh Langley after the first change in SL09. |
