I am a Geordie girl born and bred. I studied art at both Northumbria and Sunderland universities many eons ago. My love of art led me to produce crafts and concentrate on ceramic painting in the early nineties. I ran a craft stall on Armstong Bridge, Jesmond until the bitter wind and rain forced me indoors and I opened a craft shop near Morpeth. This led to my opening a vegetarian restaurant and art cafe in Alnwick which I ran until four years ago. I stocked it mostly with my own arts and crafts and the buzz I felt when I sold anything was wonderful.

Over the years I have flirted with many styles most of which I have tried to include in the exhibition to give it diversity. Ranging from delicate watercolour and coloured pencil drawings onto more dramatic oils. I have included many nudes in this exhibition as I find them endlessly interesting and timelessly popular
