The course of instruction leading to the Foundation Licence Examination takes place over a 2 day weekend, typically 10am to 5pm. The first day is primarily theory whereas the second consists of more theory, practical sessions and assessments, including an appreciation of morse code, and the test. The results will be issued there and then.

The course of instruction leading to the Intermediate Licence Examination takes place over 20 hours spread over 2 weekends, normally 10am - 5pm. The training includes theory (building on what you learnt in the Foundation course) and a number of practical assessments, including building some circuits. The exam will take place on the final day. Please note a pass at the Foundation level is a pre-requisite for this course.

£50 inclusive of tuition, course materials (except project kit) and examination fee.

The course of instruction leading to the Advanced Licence Examination takes place over 40 hours spread over 20 weeks, normally 8-10pm on a Tuesday evening. The training consists purely of increasing your theoretical knowledge of radio. The exam will take place 2 weeks or so after the course completes, to allow time for revision sessions. Please note that a pass at the Intermediate level is a pre-requisite for this course.
