The Importance of Being Earnest

Oscar Wilde's celebrated play
'The Importance of Being Earnest' - written in 1895,
was the subject of a recent play performed by
The Thalian Theatre Group.
The play originally written in late 19th century Victorian
England, is a wondrously witty comedy of manners.
This play marked Hector's directional debut.
The production also provided Billy with the opportunity
to add some brief musical backings to a few of the scenes.
It ran for 4 performances beginning
Wednesday 18th April - Saturday 21st April 2001
at the Seevic College, London Road, Benfleet in Essex.
Just as a note of interest The Thalians
include Ian Stewart who once played in one
of Billy's previous bands Big Lynne many aeons ago.
