So there you are.  You found them. The great undiscovered - all the way from that great hot bed of talent - Basildon, Essex - England.

  Play formed back in January 1994 by Billy Cox & long time friend and musician Hector. An original concept right from the outset - it was the band they had both always wanted to do. A musical experience unhampered by commercial restraints and musical protocol but free to explore the inner depths and imaginations of situation reality in a mixed up world.

  1995 saw their live debut minus Billy at the Rock Garden in Covent Garden London - a gig captured on video.

  1999 saw their first C.D. recorded.
Taken mainly from recordings made from 1994/95 period; these were cobbled together (complete with original controversial sleeve) by Hector to form 'ultra rare' "A Token Gesture" C.D.
The sound pages feature songs from this period complete with lyrics.

  2000 - July 8th saw Play establish a web presence when their official website: Play - The Official Band Website went live for the 1st time.

  2001 - A nothing year for Play! They did nothing at all of note musically!

  2002 - Further enhanced web presence by acquiring web domains play.org.uk & playband.com.
Both Billy Cox & Hector involved in Sci-Fi audio drama SC5.

  2006 - Billy and Hector jam together on cover songs for the first time in years - watch this space.

  2007 - Play open up a myspace page.
