Jeff Cody, we've been through this.. hey Jim, see you tomorrow... yep!, no look, how many times, your Dad, I know he was a great guy, a great athlete, .. but, times have changed man, all that..
Sally Hi Cody
Cody Hi Sal
Sally Hullo Jeff
Jeff Hi Sally, hey Sally, you goin tomorrow?
Sally Uh no Jeff, I wasn't invited?!
Jeff What? Oh what a bummer, sorry Sal - you see Cody? You see? She's the under 18 county champion at one hundred and two hundred, and she doesn't get asked - you're mad, Sally tell him, he's mad
Sally Still not made you mind up Cody?
Cody I dunno Sal, my Dad - he's not keen in fact he's .....
Jeff There you go again "my Dad doesn't want me to." Cody I can't believe what you're sayin. If your Dad was competing now he'd realise ..
Sally Has he said you can't go?
Cody No, he's says it's up to me
Jeff Well then..
Cody But he says it's not right, he says they'll all pay for it later, they don't know what they're doing, that........
Jeff Oh come on Cody, you know everything is checked out now, I mean you don't think the government or the IAB would let people do anything that wasn't one hundred percent ok? And think of the money - and the tv. Cody, you will never get another chance like this will he Sal?
Sally Why don't you go, see what it's like - I mean, you might not even get picked - and then, if you're still unsure, you don't have to join a team do you?
