2004

Work has concentrated on getting the track up to Bridge No. 2. This bridge takes the track over the old Cann Quarry Canal and is built on the skew to the line.  That meant that over the years there has been un-even forces working on the arch and parapet and has caused it to crack.  We have employed a "Bridge Engineer" and he has advised us to take down the cracked parapets, and after shoring up the arch remove the loose part of the arch and start re-building it all again.  The repairs to the bridge were started in the Summer of 2004 with the dismantling of the parapets and arch.
