The above are 2 - 8m2 Horizontal Vacuum Belt filters built and commisioned by Polyfilters in July 2000 for a prestigious speciality chemical manufacturer. Due to unforseen market conditions the plant was fully commissioned to prove the performance and then "mothballed".
The plant has now been reconfigured for another product which does not involve filtration and they have asked us to find a buyer for them.
Specification
FilterThe filters have all polypropylene wetted parts and fume extraction hoods, all mounted on a stainless steel framework. The filters are pneumatically operated. The construction is modular in 2 metre increments, so they can easily be rebuilt as 4m2 / 6m2 / 8m2 or even extended to suit your requirements.Vacuum Station This comprises a 30kW flameproof Vacuum pump with closed circuit ring water cooled by a heat exchanger. The plant has 2 - BS4994 polypropylene vessles for collecting and separating the mother liquor and cake wash filtrates.
These vessels are fitted with Vega level controls and positive displacement pumps. Also included is a cloth wash water tank and pump with facility for returning this water as part of the cake wash.
