Dear Resident,

Crime & Anti-Social Behaviour Survey

We would like to thank the hundreds of people who took the time to return their copies of the crime and anti-social behaviour surveys that were delivered across the ward.

We can assure you that we will be looking at the matters that have been raised. We have already contacted the Council and the Police listing the problems and 'hot spot' areas that you have highlighted. We will keep you updated on progress through our next newsletter.

Areas that have been highlighted include the Warre Recreation Ground, Ellington Park and immediate area, Stanley Road, Chapel Place, Spencer Square and the surrounding area amongst others. The graph below shows the results from the survey and how vandalism, graffiti and youth gangs seems to be the cause for most of your concern.

We are calling on the Council to ensure these areas are patrolled by the Community Wardens and that the other specific concerns raised in relation to dumped rubbish, graffiti and vandalism are dealt with.

Community Projects

SPENCER SQUARE -
We are pleased to tell residents that the Spencer Square Residents Association received £800 in funding from us to upgrade and enhance the community gardens within Spencer Square. This is a project that residents are undertaking themselves. They hope to hold outdoor events in the square for everyone to enjoy.
