"About me I am a Labour Councillor for Northwood Ward and work with my fellow ward councillors Liz Green (also a Kent County Councillor) and Kay Dark (Deputy Mayor of Ramsgate).

I also garden organically and recommend http://www.gardenorganic.org.uk/. I particularly support their campaign to see gardens being retained and not developed. I will oppose planning proposals that seek to build on existing houses gardens wherever possible. We need more green space, not less. The more we can grow for ourselves, the better the quality, and the less traffic on the roads.
I am disappointed at the our poor levels of recycling and want to ensure recycling is made easier and more readily available for all. I also want to address the traffic problems that particularly affect Northwood. Congestion, rat runs and pollution all affect quality of life. I am a supporter and user of the Loop bus and want to see our train services improved.
I believe the Council should be promoting cycling as a method of transport which reduces our carbon footprint, eases congestion and parking, and promotes a healthier lifestyle. "
