| Biography: |
| Despite
being relegated with the Sandgrounders at the end of the
2002/2003, 'Dicko' signed a new 2-year deal with Southport,
insisting he could not leave the fans or club he is so loyal
to. He joined Southport at the start of the 1999/2000 season
and holds the club record for consecutive appearances. In
all he was ever-present for three seasons, accumulating
126 league appearances, a run which ended at the start of
the 2002/2003 as he missed the opening game through a one
game suspension. He signed from Unibond League side Guiseley
after being on Bradford City's books and has shown excellent
form throughout his Haig Avenue career, winning the players’
and supporters’ Player of the Year of 2002 and never
shies away from giving his gloves to the fans. |
