A CHURCH CHOIR

Wexham Parish church is a 14th Century Norman Church standing on Church Lane in Wexham, Slough.

The walls have been built of flint and a mixture of stones found locally including sandstone, limestone and chalk.

There are two very old Yew Trees in the Church Yard. Yew was used in the middle ages to make long bows. They are poisonous to cattle and so were only allowed to grow in Church Yards.

The Spire is timber framed and clad in cedar. It houses the Belfry and a single bell.

The Organ was built in 1884.

The stone has eroded over the years and other stone has been used to replace the erosion.

This continues to erode, as have the internal walls due to damp and work is being currently undertaken, but the cost is the deciding factor in the restoration of this lovely little church.
