The world’s
top public subscription brass band is unique!
It is the only
band in the top flight that has always operated entirely by its own
independent efforts. Financially we continue to rely on the support given by
the public, both locally and afar, in the form of donations, moral support,
attendance at concerts and through the band’s own range of enterprises.
You can help to keep this unique band at the very top of the brass band
league by joining one, or both, of the Brighouse and Rastrick Band Patron’s
schemes, and becoming associated with one of the great names in British
amateur music making.
The first B&R Patrons enrolled in 1964 specifically to book tickets before
they went on sale to the general public for our very popular Huddersfield
Town Hall massed band concerts promoted annually. This facility continues
today through both our schemes, but specifically the CONCERT PATRONS.
In recent years, many people locally and further afield, have desired closer
links with us with information about the band and its activities. In
response the BAND PATRONS scheme was formed. Both schemes offer membership
for a 2 month period - you can join either scheme at anytime of the year.
