The Peterborough Science Fiction Club was founded in 1976 to promote SF in the local area. We have organised many events including competitions, demonstrations, and exhibitions, and have brought such writers as Louise Cooper, James Follett, Grant Naylor,
Jamie Delano, Richard Christian Matheson and Brian Stableford to the City.
The Club has, as a forum for writers and artists, its own on-line publication, " A Change of
Zinery ". In addition to straightforward Science Fiction we also print Fantasy, Gothic, Horror and Surreal short-stories or
poetry alongside interviews with professionals working in these fields.
The Club meets every Wednesday at various venues around the City. The first Wednesday of the month is a discussion evening held
at the Bluebell Inn, Dogsthorpe, Peterborough, to which we occasionally invite special guests. The third Wednesday of the month is a social night held at the Great Northern Hotel, opposite
Peterborough's BR Station.
If you are interested in SF , Fantasy, Gothic or Horror in any form,
( books , art , TV , comics , films , games , theatre or music ), then we would
like to hear from you.
You can contact us at any of the above venues or by e-mailing the Club's
