Myxomatosis vaccine is recommended for all rabbits. The rabbit flea carries this virus. Once a rabbit is infected the condition is 100% fatal.

Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD) is a new and dangerous disease. It first appeared in the UK in 1992 and is spreading. Cases have been reported in East Anglia but the Palmerston Veterinary Group has seen no cases yet.

We would recommend the VHD vaccine be considered especially by those clients who have large colonies of rabbits.
