BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Michael and Belinda Palfrey are a young husband and wife team who work together running Quadspeed Ltd. Michael's background is farming, his parents own a 450acre farm which is mainly down to arable with 140 sheep and a handful of cattle run by Michael. He is an ex-RAC (Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester) student and very experienced in land management, fencing and forestry. He can put his hand to any task and takes great pride in his work. Michael's hobbies are winter based! (summer is busy!), he enjoys shooting, NH horse racing (his grandmother was one of the first trainers in the Guiting Power area, which is now able to boast of Nigel Twiston Davis and David Nicholson both top NH trainers), fishing, hunting and drinking in the pub! He met his wife Belinda through mutual friends, after the Mackeson Gold Cup, in the pub, all his favourite things at once and Belinda is now added to the list! Belinda's background is mainly horses. Belinda has owned and ridden horses all of her life, has worked for various hunt masters and run showing and breeding yards. Her passion now is Welsh Mountain ponies which she breeds and shows in between running the office at Quadspeed Ltd and managing numerous grass liveries on the farm. Belinda is an ex-Warwickshire Agricultural College student where she studied Agriculture and Horse Management on Farms & Estates, this was followed by working with horses for several years then changing careers completely by going back to college and passing a Higher Diploma in Administration Procedures which she used to secure PA jobs to Directors and Managing Directors which was invaluable experience much used now in the running of Quadspeed. Belinda's hobbies are NH racing, hunting, travelling to exotic places (could now be difficult with Mikes fear of flying) and of course drinking in the pub! Between them, Michael & Belinda have a tremendous passion and respect for the countryside and a deep understanding of people's needs and how they can be achieved with the least disruption at minimal cost.
