Ernest Henry Joseph "Titch" Young, (Information
kindly supplied by Joe's daughter Lorraine).
Joe joined up on the 4/3/43. R.A.(FIELD)260 and was posted to the 7th Survey Regt R.A. 31/1/44. Joe rank was that of Gunner and his trade was that of Driver Operator. On joining 7th Survey Regt R.A. he was interposted to B-Troop (Flash Spotters) together with his mate Harry Hick's who Joe apparently met during initial training and were to continue to serve together throughout the remainder of the war.
The two pictures were taken prior to Joe and Harry's transfer to 7th Survey possibly during training. The one titled Joe 27th May 1943 shows Joe 'Titch' Young, 2nd Left, Front Row and also his mate Harry Hicks, 6th Left, Centre row,
