So you have bought your plane and are itching to fly it. The first flight is the one flight you will remember. Whether your plane goes home in pieces or not! Once you have found the launch site you should set up your hi-start or if you are launching off a hill find the best slope. Then you should carry out some pre-flight checks. These are basically to check the glider is working properly. All the control surfaces(rudder, elevator and alerons) should match up to the relevant controls on the transmitter. Then you should walk away from the glider with the arial closed and the signals should transmit 100 paces away. Then wait and watch your plane for ten minutes to check that there is no interference. Then you are ready to fly! |
