Although the history of the club spans from at least 1922, or earlier, There is little or no information from those early days. However, in 1949 the "United" rink of R. Haggie, J. Prosser, J. Pannet and A.E.Jones were runners up in the English Bowling Association Championships. Between 1922 and 1949, a Rink from Stockton United were Durham County Champions 5 times.
