Yeovil & District Table Tennis Association

• Founded in 1946, the Association assists and encourages the formation of Table Tennis Clubs and Teams in Yeovil and District.

• It organizes a League known as "The Yeovil & District Table Tennis League".

• It conducts annual competitions between affiliated clubs, and knock-out competitions for teams and individuals.

• The Association benefits from sponsorship from local businesses .

General With a membership of thirty three teams, the Association offers Table Tennis at many skill levels.  Three players per team participate in one of three divisions depending on standard of play.  Promotion to a higher division is determined by the results at the end of each season, with appropriate promotion and demotion. Division three provides the opportunity for younger players returners and beginners with some playing experience, to sample League and Competitive play.

The Association covers the South Somerset District over an area of some twenty-five miles around Yeovil. The season generally lasts from September until May the following year. Coaching is available during the season at very reasonable rates and is designed to teach sound basic technique and provide an introduction to the sport and a gateway to competition.

Constitution The Association consists of elected officers, clubs and individual members, deemed eligible for membership. There is an annual registration fee for each team entered into the league.  This subscription is set at the AGM and includes entry into Handicap Team Knockout Competitions, the ETTA and County affiliation fees.  The registration fee for each individual is fixed annually at the AGM and includes affiliation to the ETTA.  For more information please call: - Shirley Dark at Yeovil (01935) 425569  or  Roy Harrison at Ilminster (01460) 53562
