Steel Union are an acoustic blues duo
based in the UK nestling between the borders of Northamptonshire,
Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire.
Playing authentic
traditional acoustic blues; that being acoustic blues mostly from the period
1920 through to 1945 ish. We play the songs of the great Delta Blues and
Country Blues players such as Son House, Robert Johnson, Sonny Terry &
Brownie McGhee, Lightnin' Hopkins, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Bukka White and
many more.
Steel
Union comprises Richard Gibson on Vocals & Harmonica (Blues Harp) and
Richard Turner on Vocals, National Bottleneck/Slide Guitar & Acoustic
Guitar. Rich's main guitar is a National Reso-phonic ResoRocket.
Together Steel Union
recreate the sounds evocative of the Mississippi deep south in days gone by,
blues harp wailing and cryin' whilst driving National steel guitar generates
the rhythms of the railroads and the great express trains as they thundered
by.
