Background:
He is very well educated and intelligent, he is trained as a classical pianist and used to work as a toolmaker. He didn't want to join the band at first because he thought they were too "boring".
Other:
His first job was at a newspaperstand. He has a daughter called Annie, but he is divorced. When he ran out of money in the 80'ies he started to produce elastic curlers at home for export to West Germany. He smokes.
