Rammstein play The Big Day Out in January and February, the Festival in Australia and New Zealand for the first time. Between the Festival, Rammstein play additional club concerts in Sydney and Melbourne.

16 January 2001 >>
The video for the new single, "Sonne" is produced from 16 to 22 January. The video is filmed in Babelsberger Filmstudios in potsdam instead of. Joern Heitmann. Department M is a director of the video.

29 January 2001 >>
Publication video "Sonne" starting from 29 January runs on VIVA 1 and 2 and MTV.

09 February 2001 >>
Route in Japan Rammstein play from the 9th in the " Big Cat " in Osaka and on the 10th in "The Liquid Room" in Tokyo.

12 February 2001 >>
Publication of the single "Sonne" starts on 12th. The single is available only in Europe. The single also includes two Clawfinger Remixes and with "Adios", a song from the album "Mutter" as well as the original and instrumental versions of "Sonne"

"Links…" is the second single from the album "Mutter" The track listing contains (beside original version) one Clawfinger and two Westbam Remixes, aswell as "Hallelujah". This is only available on the single and Resident evil soundtrack (Released a lot later)

18 May 2001 >>
Publication of the video "Left 2 3 4 " starts. The video is also published today. The video starts on VIVA 1 and 2 and MTV with the highest in each case application rate per week.

* Rammstein at London Astoria, June 10 (Taken from Kerrang Yearbook 2001) - "One of the most anticipated live events of the year [In the UK] was extinguished when Westminster Council took one of the German Industrialists' bumper arsenal of flame-throwers and heavy-duty bangers, and delivered a firm 'Nein, danke'. [The band tried to smuggle a rocket launcher through British Customs (!) but failed.] On being told to cut 90% of their Pyrotechnics, they backed up and buggered off home 30 minutes before show time."

Rammstein Book available, titled 'Rammstein' by Geoff Hoff (The editor) is released. The review from Amazon is: "Rammstein's first appearence was in David Lynch's "Lost Highway", the band have since released videos and fire-spitting live performances resulting in two million albums being sold in the USA and a Grammy nomination for "Best Metal Act". This photo-book is a visual trip into their world."

08 November 2001 >>
Rammstein play at the MTV Europe Music Awards, "Ich Will". For many fans the appearance was ingenious. There were some problems though, You couldn't hear Till`s voice at the start of the Song. There were also problems with Flake`s key board.
