Centre that provides good quality accommodation for up to 130 people. The
residence is located in a beautiful area of York close to the internationally
famous Knavesmire racecourse. We
will be proposing an interesting and varied programme for cyclists and walkers
in the usual tradition of Oscar. We hope to be able to offer different levels of
difficulty for both groups of participants with the option of relaxing in York
for those who do not want to take part in strenuous activity.

to York By
Sea:
York is approximately 60 Kilometres from the Port of Hull where car ferries
arrive daily from Zeebrugge (Belgium) and Europort in Rotterdam (Holland). For
those of you who might travel by this route without a vehicle, transport to York
will be provided from Hull. There are many car ferries crossing the English Channel from Calais, Dieppe, Le Havre, Dunkirk, Boulogne and Ostend arriving at Dover or other ports in the SE of England. The journey to York from the south coast is approximately 560 Kilometres. By
Train: Eurostar
trains from Paris, Lille & Brussels go direct to London where connections
can be made for trains that go direct to York. By Air:There
are several ‘cut price’ airlines (Easyjet, Ryanair, Buzz, Bmibaby) that
operate from Airports in France and Switzerland (Geneva & Zurich) to London
Luton, London Stansted & Liverpool. It is then possible to take a train to
York either direct or via London. To
reserve your place We expect, because it is the first time that the venue for Oscar is in England, that there will many more people from the UK who will wish to participate in 2003. We also hope that as many as possible of our friends & twinners from France, Germany, Poland and Romania will join with us to make Oscar in York a memorable occasion. Although we think we have sufficient accommodation for everyone, we will take reservations in the order that they arrive. Please book early! Please
complete the attached reservation form and return it to Richard Messer before 31st
January 2003. Could
