Welcome to the RRCS Members' homepage!
Whilst this part of the site is aimed primarily at members of Reigate and Redhill Choral Society, we hope that there will be something of interest if you haven't yet joined us. The rehearsal schedule is available, and checking it regularly is a good habit to develop. It's more than just a list of rehearsal dates - the concert protocol, maps to unfamiliar venues and much more are often posted here too. Another good habit to form is regularly visiting the page of corrections to music. We have also reproduced Peter's vocal advice from the Summer 2003 newsletter, which contains some very useful tips on vocal health and becoming a better singer. There is also a list of who's who in RRCS, as well as other sites which you may find useful or entertaining. The Society's constitution is available as a web page, and the current members' handbook and our business plan are also published on this site as Word documents.
As we sometimes sing in languages other than English, we are developing a series of text translations, and a masterlist of the available texts is on the translations page.
|t's a given that the 2007/08 season will include some hemiolas, so do your hemiola homework by reading the article from the February 2004 newsletter.
The first concert of the season includes John Rutter's setting of the Magnificat. To help learn your part, why not have a look at these online practice pages?
If there is important, useful or urgent information to communicate to members between rehearsals, we try to do this by e-mail. If you haven't yet received such an e-mail, simply send Deborah an e-mail including your e-mail address, or speak to her at the next rehearsal, and your name will be added to the list.
