Funk Fussion Re-edits showcases; soul, reggae, jazz, rock, alternative-pop

All the tracks featured are re-edited versions of the originals and
is mixed intuitively
together to create their unique blend and alternative perspective, which
takes you
on a journey from your head to your heart down to your feet.
Funk Fussion Re-edits
Volume 1 was originally released as a promo only CD,
but now comes out on a limited edition double CD with the new Funk Fussion
Re-edits Volume 2. Appearing on Funk Fussion Re-edits Volume 1 are some
of the tracks that have been released on Mischief Brew’s successful
12-inch vinyl series. They include; George McCrae’s soulful rendition
‘Lifted’,
Serge Gainrbourg’s meandering beat track ‘Requiem’,
the up-lifting
Smokey Robinson and the Miracles beat ballad ‘Want Me’,
and the current release The Ashantis afro-beat jam ‘Everybody
Move’.
Funk Fussion Re-Edits
Volume 2 is unique as none of the tracks to date
have been released. This CD premiers exclusive re-edits from Mischief
Brew’s
personal catalogue, such as; the poetic beat rap of Lightnin’
Rod’s
‘Hustlers Arrive’, Spencer Davis Group’s, ‘Love
You So’ with its extended
organ-rolling break and the punk-funk of Liquid Liquid who get ‘Liquidfied’!
The art of re-editing
has been around for some time, there has been and still are
some great craftsmen and this CD series certainly shows that Mischief
Brew
are up there with the masters.
