No shock or surprises here, just another solid and reliable re-edit knocked into shape by the Mischief Brew boys. This time round they turn their attentions to funk, soul, highlife and afro-beat collective The Ashanti’s, stretching, snipping, and generally topping and tailing their 1975 classic ‘Everybody Groove’ into renewed dancefloor shape. It may not be their best most inspired work to date, but yet again it works.

Ahead of the release of their sly ‘Funk Fussion Re-edits Volume 2’ CD. Britain’s most consistent re-edit troupe unleash another tasty dancefloor extension. This time it’s the Ashanti’s’ ‘Everybody Move’ a steaming dancefloor groover that sits somewhere between Afrobeat, swamp funk and trippy pscheddelic disco. There’s not much to the edit - they extend the pleasing groove and re-arrange some of the original elements - but it’ll certainly work a dancefloor. Not their best, buy still worth a listen.
