Welcome to the SS Museum

The purpose of the SS Museum is to give an insight into Nazi
Germany's most notorious organization, the Schutzstaffel
(Protection Squad) or has it was more commonly known the "SS"

The SS was a vast and complicated organization which consisted
of many agencies and branches. The SS Museum concerns itself
primarily with the two main branches of the SS:

Allgemeine-SS - Translated as "General-SS", the Allgemeine-SS
were essentially the administrative branch of the SS Organization.
Through its various departments the Allgemeine-SS, enforced the
idealisms and policies of the Third Reich. The political, cultural,
racial and economic state of Germany and its occupied territories
was largely governed and controlled by the activities of the
Allgemeine-SS.

Waffen-SS - Translated as "Armed-SS", the Waffen-SS were the primary battlefield combatants of Germany's war machine. With an undying loyalty for their Fuhrer, the soldiers of the Waffen-SS fought with a ferocity that earned them an unrivalled reputation.

From the initial formation of the SS through to the subsequent collapse of the Third Reich, the SS Museum tells the story of these most obedient servants of the Nazi Empire.

Our Goal

Our primary goal is to become and remain a respected source of information relating to the SS. To meet this goal, the SS Museum will only present information that, prior to posting, has been extensively researched from trustworthy and reliable sources. It is the aim of the SS Museum to compliment the already established collection of websites that already offer a comprehensive history of the SS and related German armed forces websites. We invite you to visit these sites which we have listed on our links page.

Finally we would like to stress that the SS-Museum is and will never become a subscription based website. This site will remain a non-profit making venture.
