Many modern schools have their own website, but as both Watford Central & Bushey Grammar schools were closed before the web was even a glint in its inventor’s eye this accident of history deprives them of an official site of their own. As an attempt to make amends, and give the schools a limited presence, I’ve set up this personal unofficial website in their honour. I started at the Watford Central school in 1947, then moved over to Bushey Grammar when it opened in 1950, and left in 1953 after a year in the sixth form. Thanks to some old classmates and former pupils, I've acquired some letters, photos. and documents from those days of yore. So click on the two green buttons below and you'll be back at school before you can say "corporal punishment"! |
