At the end of this month we spent a little time developing a bespoke software solution for a stroke victim to allow them to speak again. If you think that this might benefit you or someone you know please contact us.

3rd February 2005 sees the press release for our newly updated Talking Calculator product. It reads as below:

RWF Talking Software is proud to announce the release of Talking Calculator version 2.0.0 on 27th January 2005.

Talking Calculator will operate on any Windows based computer system, including Windows XP, 2000, Millenium Edition, 98 and 95. Like all of RWF Talking Software's products, Talking Calculator is fully speech enabled and requires no additional software, library files or runtime libraries.

Talking Calculator operates in the same way as an everyday handheld or PC based calculator; calculations are performed using the number buttons and arithmetic operators. Special functions such as tangent, cosine, root, etc are performed using keystrokes. Note that sighted computer users can also use the mouse pointer in the usual way.

New features added to this very popular product include the ability to store and replay calculations. Values can be replaced during playback to enable similar or repetitious calculations to be performed. Calculations are stored on the hard disk and are easily maintained through the use of an easy to use but powerful stored calculation management system.

RWF Talking Software Managing Director Richard Fairbairn had this to say about the calculator:
“With some new additions to our [small] staff taking some of the pressure away we’re able to devote more time to product development. I’m happy that the Talking Calculator is the first of our products to undergo this modernisation as there are a few things I have not been happy with for some time which I have finally managed to put to rest. I’m confident that this calculator will be a welcome additon to any classroom or study computer system.”

For a limited time we are offering this calculator at the low price of 3.50 UK pounds (approx 6.5 US dollars). If you require a CD copy there is an additional charge for sending and handling.

1st February 2005 saw an updated Talking Maze Game released. The latest version includes an improved installer and more intuitive user support built into the software product.
