This section of the RWF Talking Software is a personal section I have added. It deals with my personal complaints and handling of the Channel 4 Celebrity Big Brother television program that aired in the latter part of January 2007. I am personally affected by the issues this television program has raised, but have tried to be impartial. I do feel, however, that my position and my perception of this gives me an insight that some may have overlooked or not realized the relevance of. But if you have been affected by racism and bullying I think you should pay some attention to this part of the web site. Even if you haven’t, you still should.

Racist Celebrity Big Brother Update - 2nd February 2007...

I am happy to hear that this subject has not “gone away” as I expected it would. Even the dilution of fact has been less than I expected. Sadly, it seems that people are focussing their attention on Jade, Danielle and Jo. Of course, they are the ones who made all the terrible comments and took part in the racist bullying and the best thing that they should do (or be forced to do) is just disappear from the public eye altogether and let us forget them and the disgrace they brought upon their peers and our country for not being able to stop this disgrace before we’d shown the entire world our racist backside part of society.
The various interviews and stories about Jo, Jade and Danielle and how sorry they are do nothing for me. These people have shown their true colors and the public have seen them for what they are. There’s nothing left for them to do besides spend the rest of their lives trying to make amends for their racist bullying. But they should do it in private. I mean, for Gods sake, do we really want these kind of people as “celebrities”? It makes me wonder what kind of people openly support these racist bullies. Mind you, I worked (for a short time) with a damned fool who thought that Myra Hindley should be released from prison so I suppose anything is possible!
Anyway, I hope in the coming weeks that the British justice system and the television regulators do something to demonstrate that we don’t think racism is a dead issue. I truly do. As for Jo, Jade and Danielle? I hope that in a years time I won’t remember them - or hear mention of them on any news or TV program I come across.
Incidentally, if you are one of those people who feels sorry about these horrible people you should spare a thought for that person or persons you know whose potential was never met because, at some point in their life, they were brought down by pack hunting bullies like these. Think about it.

Racist Celebrity Big Brother Update - 27th January 2007...

This is of particular interest to me as I have had personal experiences of both, both as a child in and beyond school and in the workplace as a grown man. The recent racist row revolving round Channel Four and the TV Show Celebrity Big Brother has touched a nerve with me and made me think back to personal experiences I would sooner be able to forget.
I am involved in many different projects so this section of the site is not going to get the attention it deserves. But I will update when I can.
