General News...November 2005: We released Talking Dictionary 8.4.0 and Event Scheduler 3.6.0 during this month. We were also featured in Talking Newspapers and Soundings Magazine (www.soundings.org) throughout the UK. We’ve also received some new awards for our Talking Dictionary and have included these on our awards page. September 2005: We released Version 8.2.0 of Talking Dictionary in response to a problem some users were having understanding the instructions for using the dictionary. We received a number of new awards for our Talking Dictionary so have included them on our awards page. August 2005: We realized that the Juliana Wetmore page of our web site is receiving a lot of visitors and its become obvious to us that this story has touched the hearts of our many visitors. We’ve tried to add some more relevant information and are waiting for permission from Juliana’s parents as to whether or not we may include more information. We are more than happy to announce that Talking Dictionary Version 8 is now completed. We’ll be informing all our existing customers by E-mail how they can update their dictionary to this new version. July 2005: Our latest update to the Talking Dictionary has been a terrific success. We are beta testing the product now and have scheduled a full version release for the 5th August 2005. We will contact our existing customers on this date or shortly afterwards to advise as to how you can obtain your free upgrade. June 2005: We’ve started a new summer promotion and are giving our Talking Event Scheduler away for free with each CD copy of our Talking Dictionary. May 2005: We are in the process right now of updating our Talking Dictionary database. This is an extensive job and we hope to have it completed soon. March 2005: Note that we have improved our ordering mechanism so that you receive your download and registration details immediately once you have placed your order. February 2005: We receive a very thoughtful and encouraging letter from the Sick Kids Hospital thanking us for our donation. We have spent a little bit of time working on a bespoke software solution for a stroke victim who lost the ability to speak. January 2005: We remove the Sick Kids charity link (we raised 90 pounds and supplemented this ourselves to make a grand total of 200 pounds. Not bad for a small software company! Added a UK Disasters Emergency Commission link to the web site to encourage people to donate to the Tsunami appeal. December 2004: We decide to offer our Talking Dictionary software program for free. We also add links so that customers can donate any money they saved to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.
