Soundings Magazine Interview “I have really enjoyed the many, many telephone calls that we’ve received as a result of this interview. The interview was probably the best one I’ve ever given and a lot better than the first one I ever gave [to BBC Radio 4] where I answered every question with the same phrase! Talking to real visually impaired computer users on the other end of the telephone has really reminded me of why I got into this in the first place. Its been great to hear how the product has been received by our many customers both old and new. I just want to say a very heartfelt thanks to Rowland Myers for the interview, to Soundings magazine for publishing it and to everyone who has picked up the phone to call us. Thanks so much.” - Richard W. Fairbairn. Additional Information Added 25th November 2005 All of this is very good for RWF Talking Software and for the Talking Dictionary itself. Already new ideas for changes to Talking Dictionary have come out of discussions made with would-be and existing customers. These ideas revolve around the various disabilities and types of visual impairments suffered by our customers and how the product could more discreetly accommodate these. Unfortunately, we have a lot of training sessions planned for the remainder of this year so its not likely that Talking Dictionary will see an update again until early into 2006. Hopefully at this point we’ll have new updates for the database contents too. All suggestions and ideas for amendments to Talking Dictionary are always welcome.
